Swedish Massage, also known as Circulatory Massage, is the most common stand-alone modality which can also be combined with other modalities. Oil or lotion is applied to the skin to facilitate movement of the circulatory system and to manipulate tissue and muscle fibers. Benefits include increased circulation, increased nerve and cell function, nervous system relaxation, improved skin tone, overall revitalization and in some cases may reduce edema.
