Structural Integration

Description

Structural Integration, developed by Dr. Ida Rolf (also called Rolfing), is a unique deep-tissue method of reorganizing the fascia (connective tissue) of the body. Typically, this approach is practiced in a series of 10 sessions across a specified period, usually 10 weeks. Your sessions will be designed by your practitioner to address your somatic needs via a movement assessment and thorough intake. Clients are asked to wear minimal clothing during these sessions such as shorts and a sports bra. The series is collaborative (client / practitioner) and designed in a sequence towards achieving expansional balance throughout the entire body. It corrects misalignment in the fascia (patterns adapted over time due to injury or surgical procedures), reorganizes the physical structure of the body and can assist in emotional release, clarification of consciousness, a more advanced sensory awareness, increased range-of-motion, ease of movement and overall physical healing of the body. Follow-up sessions may be beneficial and can be used to maintain wellness after the 10-session series is complete. *Schedule at least 24 hours in advance.
