Self Myofascial Release (SMR)Training

Swedish Massage, also known as Circulatory Massage, is the most common stand-alone modality which can also be combined with other modalities. Oil or lotion is applied to the skin to facilitate movement of the circulatory system and to manipulate tissue and muscle fibers. Benefits include increased circulation, increased nerve and cell function, nervous system relaxation, improved skin tone, overall revitalization and in some cases may reduce edema.

Swedish Massage

This clinical-based sports therapy session is ideal for competitive athletes. The approach aims to address injury recovery, rehabilitation, and prevention by increasing flexibility / malleability of soft tissue, and working on important musculature through Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF stretching), Corrective Exercises, NMT and/or  Myofascial Release for optimal pre- and post- training, and overall athletic maintenance.

Elite Sports Therapy

Stretching is essential in helping maintain your muscle's elasticity and sustaining proper range of motion. Stretching can be performed in a variety of ways with the effort being done solely by the practitioner as the client maintains disengaged muscles throughout (Passive stretch), or with assistance from the client in resist and release techniques as the practitioner helps move muscles beyond one's initial range (Active/Assisted), or it can be done with resist and release techniques as the client then attempts to move themselves further into a stretch with guidance by the practitioner (Facilitated).

Deep Tissue Massage uses friction techniques to release tension and break up adhesions in the belly of muscles and muscle groups. The goal is to change chronic patterns of tension throughout the body, allowing more freedom of movement and the reduction of accumulated pain patterns.

Deep Tissue Massage

A percussion tool delivers pulsations of pressure to targeted areas to help relieve muscle tension and reduce adhesions, while accelerating pre-training and workout warm-up sessions, and assisting in post-training recovery. Frequent sessions maintain flexibility and increase range of motion. This technique can be offered as a stand-alone session or a session add-on.

Sports Massage targets areas of the body that become strained due to repetitive and strenuous movements. Trigger point and cross-fiber techniques, stretching and the application of lotion may all be used as part of an effective treatment protocol plan. These approaches assist in the reduction of injury and muscle-bound adhesions, maximized performance and in post-athletic recovery.

Sports Massage

Recommended for clients with injuries or chronic pain that doesn’t go away with a traditional massage. Trigger Points are microscopic spasms that form at the neuromuscular junction, where the nervous system communicates with a muscle. Muscles with trigger points become weak, painful, and dysfunctional, and can pre-dispose the body to more serious injury. 

This is a collaborative session that requires input from the client that will focus on finding and deactivating trigger points in various tissues of the body. During this approach the client will build kinesthetic awareness (body awareness), and with this understanding comes the opportunity to confront, account for, and ultimately, let go of chronic pain. 

The session includes a full postural assessment for muscle imbalances and a comparative Range of Motion (ROM) assessment.

Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy

A personalized treatment, this session can include any combination of Eastern and/or Western modalities your practitioner is trained on.
 
Sessions and modalities are selected by you and the practitioner to meet your goals for an overall sense of well-being.
