Richard Gonzalez, CMT
Richard is a grateful Graduate of the National Holistic Institute (NHI) and loves being a massage & bodywork practitioner. He feels fortunate for this education and through it feels empowered to help clients alleviate pain, assist them in the correction of dysfunctional movement patterns, educate, and encourage clients to become more in tune with their bodies, and help them achieve an improved quality of life. Richard has had the amazing influence of mentors, such as J. Gorman, J. Peters, and R. Milhouse during his time at NHI. He built confidence and learned to educate through their mentorship. They made learning fun and engaging, and truly stoked the fire to turn this profession into work that he loves. He completed his core program, as well as the Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) program, in 2017. This method aligned with his style of bodywork, and through Advanced NMT, Richard has gained a rich and in-depth knowledge outside of traditional massage programs. The focus on anatomical attachment sites, actions, function, trigger point referral patterns, and perpetuating factors provided a foundation of confidence in the work and methods of approach. Richard has been working with clients using manual therapies in a variety of settings, from spas to corporate wellness, chiropractic to clinical offices, and special events. As a passionate practitioner, Richard continues to grow professionally through continuing education and takes great pride in being a bodyworker, educator, and mentor. Exploring a variety of techniques enhances the work that he does, whether through a different modality, a new technical application, or even a different mindset and approach to a traditional technique. In turn, this provides him with the tools he feels are necessary to help clients achieve their desired outcomes. *Available for couples massage & bodywork sessions and group events.
