Stretching

Description
Stretching is essential in helping maintain your muscle's elasticity and sustaining proper range of motion. Stretching can be performed in a variety of ways with the effort being done solely by the practitioner as the client maintains disengaged muscles throughout (Passive stretch), or with assistance from the client in resist and release techniques as the practitioner helps move muscles beyond one's initial range (Active/Assisted), or it can be done with resist and release techniques as the client then attempts to move themselves further into a stretch with guidance by the practitioner (Facilitated).
